A massive thank you to all our kind customers who used this year’s charitable Christmas lights and decorations installation service. The team had so much festive fun with residents and businesses that needed a helping hand putting up those hard-to-reach decorations.
We’re proud to say that we raised a thousand pounds that will go to local children’s hospice, Julia’s House. “We had a lot of requests to do it last year, so we decided this Christmas we’ll support the community and a local charity in need. We had the vans, equipment and the trained staff to work worthy cause, and we hope our festive efforts help spread some cheer while supporting the amazing work done by Julia’s House,” says Guy Moore, director of Up Top Roofing & Scaffolding.
The charity was chosen after Guy’s friend Abbie Benson and her daughter Izzy received support from Julia’s House.
Abbie believes that the care given to her daughter and families is vital: “Izzy loved coming to Julia’s House for respite. It was a special place to her, and she had a close bond with the nurses. When she passed away in May, the hospice gave me time to say goodbye to her and the support we had during this time was incredible.”
“Christmas was one of Izzy’s favourite times of the year and we would always go out to see the lights. What a perfect way to raise money for a cause so close to our hearts, whilst also remembering Izzy this first December without her.” added Abbie.

In addition to raising money, Up Top Roofing & Scaffolding installed the Christmas lights and removed the old Christmas trees at the Julia’s House hospice in Corfe Mullen. The team wore specially branded hoodies kindly provided by local embroidery printer, The Funky Peach.
Chief executive of Julia’s House, Martin Edwards says: “We are so grateful to Guy Moore and the team at Up Top Roofing & Scaffolding for helping us out at Christmas. You are helping us to bring Christmas cheer to the children in our care and to be there for them in the future too.”
